2020/5/28 3:00 3:50 SharePoint & Knowledge Management = Bad Ass Knowledge management is the practice of organizing and bringing information together as a whole. It involves a concerted effort and commitment by an organization to promote a single source and to deliver that information to users in a relevant and efficient manner. It is not a technology, software application or platform. We will explore the questions of "Can it be used?", "Should it be used?, "How can be it used?", and "What should I consider?" when partnering SharePoint (on-premise or Office365) and Microsoft technologies with a Knowledge Management strategy.

2020/5/28 8:00 8:50 Using Planner & To-Do to Managed Projects & You All organizations have some type of project process that they utilize whether they know it or not they do exist. Organizations that don’t have a built or purchased application to assist in managing their projects probably use email or a manual process. Ones that have a built application are frustrated and a lot of effort is being taken to maintain the application and is just not feasible in this ever changing technology world we live in. There are some great project applications out there such as Project but many I have worked with that use Project state their biggest complaints are that they barely use all the functionality that it provides and it’s an additional cost and hardware if not in the cloud. Which organization are you? What opinion do you have on your current solution? What if there was a solution that you already own? One that integrates easily in the new modern era of O365 & SharePoint as well as has integration into another application that you most likely own already. The combined effort of both of them not only can you manage your projects but manage YOU? Microsoft Planner and To-Do is what I am referring to and they are simply amazing as individual applications and even more powerful together. In this workshop I will go through a number of ways you can use the Planner Hub, CreateIntegrate Plans into Groups & Teams, Use Cases for how to utilize Plans to organize the different facets of your organization, clients, partners, etc. Then we will go through how integrating with To-Do can give your users a 1 stop shop view of all their tasks, etc. Come join the fun and leave with the knowledge on how to get organized quickly.

We believe search is more than just a list of links, search needs to work both for and with you, anticipating your needs where you are working, with answers and insights in the flow of your work. Microsoft Search brings you natural language understanding, instant query predictions, contextual results, and more. This session will show you how you can apply your bit of governance to make your users life easier. You will hear about an approach where you can make use of the best of both worlds and your users will still be able to find the documents they are looking for. We will look into Hub-Sites, applying basic metadata in the background to all your documents and therefore make them findable again through SharePoint Search.
